Don't worry JP. I live in the curfew zone and the army guys/police are actually really accommodating about the whole situation. They'd understand what you have to do. On Saturday night I had to go pick someone up from the airport; left about 9:30 and got back about 11, and they were fine with us driving through places.

Ahh, sweet. Thx for that. I'm printing out an extra copy of our accommodation booking form for Static just in case. :)

epicentre 20km south west - under the water.

Also if anyone wasn't nervous yet.
# White Island is at Alert Level 1: Signs of volcano unrest.
# Ruapehu is at Alert Level 1: Signs of volcano unrest.

Edit: PS - 1 is actually pretty minor. Apparently the scale goes 0 (dormant) to 5 (erupting). I think at least one of the above is usually erm.. not at rest.

For website, are you talking about GeoNet, Pura? If you are then, it hasn't been recording/updating properly today, only the past hour has it been in fact adding aftershocks from this morning. So it might not have been your imagination - also GeoNet only records quakes/shocks that are 3 and above.
