NZ Cosplay in the Media

I wonder if "freaks and geeks" is a subtle reference to the cult TV show series back in 1998, consider it's about fringe pop cultures and all.

Also I was totally going to make an awesomely unfunny memegenerator meme making fun of the person who insisted that cosplayers are the problem of the country, pity that memegenerator is down for the entire day.

I think it is odd how it seems so acceptable for the media to call people who attend Armageddon freaks and geeks, and then flip onto the next story about how awful bullying is. Pot calling kettle black?

The reporter came up to us so randomly just as we were putting our coats back on because it was FREEZING XD

I don't know where she got the idea that we wanted to go on a sponsored trip to Japan (I mean it would be awesome but that wasn't exactly on our minds at the time).

Just happy nothing bad was said the photograph used came out well and flattering~

I was just about to throw the paper out today when I saw the corner of the photo, peeking out from under all the other papers. I thought it looked like Vampire Knight, and I was delighted to see that it actually was. :)

I just watched The Politcally Incorrect Guide to Grown Ups and Nigel Latta had a segment featuring cosplay! I recognised a lot of wonderful cosplayers.

Saw Jess's interview on The Politically Incorrect Guide To Grown Ups. Pretty good. And plenty of video of other cosplayers too, including Nadiah and was Anita was the opening shot? Unfortunately he said it was all Japanese.
