[MMD10] Tintango's MMD Fundraising thread

Yo~

So Kyokyogirl & I have decided to help Tintango with the finds going towards the dinner, as it turns out our $30 is not enough to cover the catering by itself (Tintango is kind enough to cover the rest by himself, but surely the least we can do is pay for our own food, right?)

So we need ideas on how to fundraise! We wanna aim for about $300~
the extra amount needed for catering is about $260, thats INCLUDING our $30 per person. So about $860 for catering.

I'm willing to do wig and photoshoot commissions (and maybe some cosplay props & hats)
but that can only go so far, so throw in your ideas on what we can do as a group or even by yourself~

Current suggestions:
- commissions (wigs, photoshoots etc)
- sausage sizzle
- basking
- bake sale

We could try the age-old car washing fundraising?

Or perhaps... get people to sponsor us to do something wicked? Not too sure what we'd be doing, but I do recall Monrad intermediate doing the thing where they all ran in the ocean in the middle of winter...?

not sure about swimming in the middle of winter lol, but helping someone advertise in costume could be a possibility~

@Sausage Sizzle: Oooooh yeah. You could do the thing outside the warehouse where they
have the sausage sizzle. I can ask my parents if they know anywhere we
could do that, since they've done some sausage sizzling in the past~

@Busking: I think if you do it outside, then busking is fine. It's really only in places such as the Plaza or Downtown where you need a permit, though most of the time they say no :/

Then again, what would we busk? I can play flute, but that's about the range of my skills xD

I think from what I was told a while back, the mad butcher supplies you with sausages, whereas at the warehouse you have to buy your own.

you'd get more customers at the warehouse but you'd have to pay for sausages.

Also carwashing /could/ be fun!

I had to busk when I was a kid. Never again. But I like the sound of cosplay commission fundraising....we could put a thread up in the marketplace, dA, cosplay.com, etc~

I can't really help out with the busking sweatdrop

so I think I'll stick with commissioning.
but pretty much sort out whatever methods you wanna go by and get as much money as possible!
(wait, that sounded forceful..)

I busked once~ Did it in the Plaza, back when they still said yes to little kids xD

IT WOULD WORK IF ROKU DID IT. Preeeeetty voice~ *A*

But yeah. Maybe put up one main thread in the Marketplace and advertise it around dA and the like.

I dunno, one of my best bets would probably be sausage sizzling. I like
doing that C: We could do a few of them, too~ They'd get us some good
moolah.

Another idea to add to the pot; we could have a bake sale? Orrrr, thinking about it, maybe we could put in a table in a Sat/Sunday market? Baking wares and the like~ Or if anyone makes little plush toys? Those would be cute~
