Still working on cutting those pounds for the sake of cosplay....boy its harder than it seems! Damn you Sylvanas!

Edit: Oh the irony of my display picture being me eating a cupcake....it was my 16th birthday!

(I still reckon Fang from Final Fantasy XIII has a very yummy tummy XP)

In other news, I handed some of the stuff (which I mentioned was like wonderflex) to Rayjin. Turns out that it's more of a gauze woven plaster (rather than plastic). It works fairly well for the purpose, but isn't really in that case like the wonderflex.

I'm looking for a really cheap but effective way of doing this >_>.
Also, I was looking into doing chicken-wire mesh stuff to do the kinda base to use as shoulder armour, until I had to do an art project using the stuff to make something half my height. I now HATE the stuff. Its hard to bend and gives you cuts like you wouldn't believe

Dimey: Rayjin's method is really, really cool! PM him and see if he'll take some photos, it's cardboard and tape with that plaster stuff over the top and it looks great.

I have decided that sculpting and casting my armour is just not going to work! Mostly after my pauldron sculpt was DESTROYED. I raged, then changed my plans. I'm going to base it out of craft foam (I think!) and reinforce the hell out of it with glue and some kind of stiffening? I hear glueing a layer of fabric to the inside helps a lot, so I'll give that a go. Only problem is stiffening it enough so it won't flex and crack the paint - anyone got tips/advice on this?

i was talking to rowan at the photoshoots about the foam she used for calintz-- apparently it's REALLY hard and takes shape really well, and you could always seal it after it's been painted with varnish for extra rigidity. i think it was eva foam? she knows where to get it by bulk for cheaps.

it all depends on the shap and such of the armor Dimey i think the way u make ur armor will be different to how Static is going to make hers and the way sorien is going to make his although Static and Soriens could be made the same way i think Soriens is a great way for what he needs but probably not for what ur needing

You must!!!!! Please, don't make me be alone! yes, I could kick all of their butts (

) but I'd rather not be picked on by people who are bigger than me IRL o_o haha.
