Oh yeah, I didn't get around to doing Jinana separate parts because I wasn't 100% sure if you were still in 8D Her outfit is actually virtually the same, just she has the midriff cut out of her vest-thing and the top part of the shoulder is cut off. But yeah, bodysuit can save dignity? And that does make it chaps 8D

@Static Something farily leg-hugging, fo' sho' - probably the type you can just slip your foot into as well, since if we attach the boot cover on top it'll have the fake most-likely-not-operable zip on the side and that'll restrict...stuff. That being said, the guys and the girls will need probably different sorts of fit, not to mention Gale and Cielo wear short shoes anyway...?? 8D; There's actually that store The Last Shoemaker or something on Cuba Street? That'd be totally expensive though. ;;;;

ETA: PROOF THAT EVERYONE WEARS THE KNEE-LENGTH PANTS!! Bat may be a crazy sexy manwhore circus-knife-thrower, but I doubt even he would wear pants that are longer in one leg than the other. 8Db

No, just shoes that are longer Razz I've been thinking about fabric again. I think cotton sateen would be a good choice for the jackets, maybe pants too - the bodysuits some charas wear might need to be different, but sateen is a good weight, breathes, and has a bit of stretch to it. Looking around for stuff, found this: http://www.fabric.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=58237db6-9465-45be-88a6-72aee3911c91

Looks like it has the same texture as drill, but with a bit of stretch. They also have OOODLES - would it be a good idea to sort out now how much fabric we'll need to do everyone?

Okay, I am gong to get 12 yards of this fabric. It looks quite light, so may only be suitable for the lighter parts of the costumes - it's cotton, so can be tinted darker for the other bits.

IF I BUY A SHETLOAD OF THIS - is everyone happy to use it? Let me know now please! I'm not too fussed on when you want to buy it off me, but please tell me now if you don't like it/want to use it. Very Happy

Edit: OMFG looking at each character art side by side there is no physics same shade of grey argh. I'll look at spotlight next time I'm there for grey sateen in a darker shade XP

Anyway, I did a tiny bit of research...

I've toyed with the idea of producing a Gale costume, but I'm not sure that my skill level would allow me to produce anything satisfactory, but I can share at least my starting thoughts with you, I suppose....

I would imagine that I would choose to start by finding patterns that I could then mutilate into what I wanted... mostly because I wouldn't have a clue to start without at least a basic pattern for the pants and coat. Where I begin to run into problems is with the material itself (Vinyl comes to mind, but I know nothing about fabrics... terribly sorry.) which has to be fairly rigid since it is body armor... and then all of the details all over the costumes.
