Frequently Asked Questions.
Auckland Cosplay Ball edition.


When? 24th of July, 7pm - 11pm.
Where? The Hyatt hotel.
What to wear? Formalesque cosplays or formal clothing!
Who can come? Anybody who has a ticket, or is planning on getting one.
Where can you get a ticket? Ticket thread.
How can I help? Spread the word & show up! But seriously, if you want to volunteer I do need general and specific help, so please send me a PM.
How can I perform on-stage? I will be setting up a form which I will make available on the 1st of May.
Changes from last year? This year we're obviously at a central and easy to access location! {It's also prettier then I thought it would be *o*} There will be no food provided and the ball itself personally won't be selling drinks, however the hotel is setting up a non-alcoholic drink booth, I believe.
Age restriction? There is no age restriction, however I would like all young ones to have an older companion, simply because I don't want to be the only one worrying over midget mafias. <3 But seriously, I want to know you guys are safe and I'll be having to do a lot that night.
Can I drink alcohol at the event? No. There will be younger ones around and as such I am making this event non-alcoholic. WE MUST DRINK LOVE AND FUN TILL WE ARE DIZZY WITH IT INSTEAD~


How can I know more? Stay tuned into the forums and feel free to ask me questions here or via PMs.

These are just basic answers, I will be going into more details as I go about setting up the individual threads.

Is the older-person guardian compulsory for us young uns? 'cause we'll be coming and leaving in a group [and most likely remaining with each other the entire time] and I can't really imagine bringing my older sisters to a cosplay ball. ^^'
Although, I think [most] of us 'midgets' are mature enough to deal with anything that might happen. :L

I'm waiting for the sound & lighting quote to get back to me this week before I set it, hence why we're waiting till the 1st until I announce quite a bit. It's just fiddling things around at the moment and trying to sort out numbers.

Also, Duckeh;; food isn't going to be provided, but can we bring our own? And (weird question, but hey) is there going to be any security, in case of pedos and such (or gatecrashers)? :C Or do we just report to the nearest cosplayer with a large and sturdy prop?

@Blooberry: It's also a safety-on-leaving thing, too - a group of thirteen year olds in the city centre by themselves at 11pm is a lot safer when there's someone older with them who can make sure everything works out if something goes wrong. Smile
