ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES
So to save Lucy trip from the backpackers to the airport, we're trying to figure out the best time for her to come pick us up and drop us off...

Arrival times
Rolly & Basaka - 7:50pm Fri
JVCA - 5:05pm Fri
Midsummer_Snow - 1:40pm Fri by bus
Creature124 - Weds!
Mandie & Riven & Aura - 2pm Fri by bus

Departure times
Rolly & Basaka - 7pm Sun (needs to be at airport at around 6:30pm)

Update AGAIN, 8/04
I have just made a booking, but we'll need to pay first because it's such a large booking. The guy on the phone asked of something was on... 8D And I said NZ Anime Event down in the Castle Complex and he said he knows that one. Ohohohohho. 8D

Anyway, it's $25 for one night, so that means each of you will need you will need to pay $50 for both nights.
You can do this (preferably) by bank deposit.

So yep, we've got a lot of people flying down or travelling down to good old, Dunnyhole, and we all need somewhere to stay.
What better than a BACKPACKING GROUP!?!? >8D

We can crash, do (cosplay) drugs, junk out, and be lazy bums in general. 8D
Or be considerate and sleep early.

The backpackers we're looking at is Central Backpackers, http://www.centralbackpackers.co.nz/ , and we're probably looking at dorms or shared?

~~I know JVCA and Admin will want their own room due to personal reasons, but I'm not so sure as to what the rest of you prefer. :>~~ Admin can't come any more ;A;
As soon as we can get a somewhat confirmed number, I can send a booking enquiry off to them to ensure booking spaces.

Update 7/04
I've just emailed Central, and they say they have spaces available during those dates!
Central says:

So we can all squish into one room or split into two for better space and comfort?

I forgot to mention, me and my bro will be arriving on Fri night, and leaving Sun evening. So We\'ll be staying Fri and Sat night (7th - 9th May). :)
If you are staying Sun night too, then I'll send an email asking the BP staff for arrangements.

Update 8/04
~~One more thing to confirm before I make the booking -~~ I assume everyone would not mind all 10 people sharing one dorm?
Because that's what I'm going to book unless people prefer 2 rooms.
If you prefer 2 rooms please reply ASAP and if we have at least 5 people wishing for two
rooms, then I guess we'll have to settle for 2 rooms. :)

I still need to get accomadation sorted and I'd rather stay with other cosplayers, I prefer backpackers too. *Wants to join*

EDIT: Question: I'm looking at flights, and wondering how long it takes to get to Dunedin Airport from the uni? There's one at 6pm I could do which would save me $50, but given that the cosplay contest doesn't finish till 5pm... Lol, do you reckon I could skedaddle after we did our skit on stage? sweatdrop

@JVCA IIRC my bro and I have flights at 7pm... I'm not sure if there's a shuttle bus service or something. Maybe the backpacker will know? I'll do a quick Google Map to see if I can find out anything...

Yeah, I did a google maps search and it says it's 35min from the uni to the airport. I'm capable of that much, the question was directed at Dunedinites for a second opinion.

@thread; it takes about 30-35 minutes to get to the airport from dunedin.

the backpackers is a wee way from the uni, there ARE university buses you can take, or you can drive. i will probably drive people because the cost of buses in dunedin is astronomical.

How long a walking distance is the backpackers to the uni? C:

And yeaaaah... Do you reckon I should get the cheaper 6pm flight and gap it as soon as we've performed our skit on the main stage, or should I fork out the extra money for the 7pm flight, you think?
