Hey anyone interested in a meal, some cake, etc, in honour of Deceptive Magicks birthday, Friday after Geddon.

There is Karaoke starting at 8pm, please confirm with Deceptive Majick.
And Amura is having drinks later.

Karaoke sounds good but it depends on what I'm doing and on funds. :think: Don't forget that friday is also Lennon's birthday too although a bunch of us are celebrating his birthday during ChchGeddon anyway. But his actual birthday is on the 1st of April, the day before this. nodnod

Yeah Karaoke does cost money unfortunately. Maybe $10 each, not sure.

And does anyone know a cheap good place to dine?

You mean for Lennon? I don't think so, a bunch of us are going out for dinner for his birthday on saturday of ChchGeddon, it's booked and everything.

Besides remember that you and I don't arrive in Wellyington until the 2nd and I'll have to get up so early for that flight that I don't want to be up late the night before. Besides I'll be too busy packing and making sure I haven't forgotten anything and other last minute stuff. stare

If people want to do dinner, some mates (only two atm, haven't talked to the others yet) and I are gonna do dinner, we wont be able to go to karaoke, we getting on the piss >.>

So after the con (does it finish at 6PM?, shower and meet for tea at 7pm?
Karaoke by 8pm?
Amura's drinking session from 9pm.

Seems a tight schedule.

I will not be up for a really late night, as I will have been up since 5am.


Um, cakes, would be easiest to find a restaurant that can do cakes, but might cost a bit? Not sure they would let us bring cakes. Unless we do it earlier, before or during Geddon.

Will ask around about suitable places, then get back to Tim, Amura and DM.

I have the Karaoke place from 8-11 so feel free to come and go, if possible we wanna know if people are coming along if can pitch in a little bit to help with costs but it wont be much cos well all want our spending money for the con

If we know how many are going we can book enough room(s). I'm not sure if the Japanese want us Otaku fangirling over them! Although we can behave.

Karaoke on Friday before Geddon was funny.
Half the room was from Ashburton, and wearing black, and singing heavy metal classics.
The other half was looking for Pop or X-Japan songs. And some singing Japanese too!

I can help with karaoke costs... did most of my purchases in ChCh.
It would be cheaper to have a meal at the backpackers, is there a place there to have it? I can order pizzas again.

Haha, they wont mind~ one I really really want to cosplay as Yotsuba! Shes so cute! and one of the others is really japanese punk, but in a cute way, she would make a good Nana Osaki, and all three of them are from my anime club at our uni so its all good ^^
But I have a few friends..well, not really, 3 x japanese girls, 2 others, the rest i can meet up with later i guess.

EDIT: Turns out they are shy and making excuses XD so they won't be going..
EDIT2: Scrap that, in total I might have two or three friends come along, should this be okay? I don't want to intrude on others birthdays, since I'll celebrate mine later on....
