[WCB10] Music Music Music!

You know what's good at a Ball? Music! Suggest some songs for the Wellington cosplay tickets or I'll give the DJ a "Now that's what I call music 2" cd from 1998. *threats*

What's good? 1. Stuff we can dance to 2. Stuff that isn't too obscene as it's a pg13 event

the more suggestions the better so fire away!

Hmmm.... though you may need to moderate some of the choices depending on the version you get.

Slightly off topic- but I recommend Disco music for.... a Soul Train!!!

Have you guys seen this, or know what Im talking about? It's based off a 70s American TV show.

Basically, you form two lines with a large gap between, then the two at one end pair off and walk down the middle, doing hilarious dances and moves until they get to the end, then everyone shuffles down, and the next pair set off.
Often you don't know who you're paired with until it's your turn, but this is epic!

I'm going to put forward some music by Rasputina....it is obscure but the genre they work in is Goth/Cello Rock Caberet STEAMPUNK!

Thanks so much for those putting forward suggestions, as it means we can play more of what YOU want to hear at the ball! :3

I have some I'm putting forward at our next meeting. Some mix of west and east music (but limiting it to 1-2 Jpop/Jrock as I'm sure that will be a popular theme anyway.

I swear I will slip an Anberlin song in there somewhere, though, mark my words! X3

OK, if people want particular music tracks can they please link them to us ASAP.
ie: Anime Dances, Any particular songs, etc. If you link us a decent quality version we may be able to get them onto the main sound system, but only if we can get them ASAP.

Otherwise if they're not on the DJ's system, then they may have to be played off iPods or similar and it's nowhere near as good.

Sidenote: No iPods or Thumbdisk or anything are getting attached directly to the DJ's rig, his system, his rules - and we don't want him to get a virus cause someone didn't keep their thumbdisk clean. Hence if he ain't got it beforehand it ain't going through his system.
