I'd be ttly keen, but I'll have no decent cosplay until after Geddon, AND I NEED TO SEW LIKE MAD TO FINISH BEFORE GEDDON OTL.

Any chance of another shoot after geddon? (However, if the house is going up for sale??)

Well, Mum reckons the house will take a year to sell, but I don't believe her. And all stuff outside wont be affected by my parents moving out or anything - so long as it's not an open day or something it'll be fine.
There is also the weather to consider - it's gonna turn crap soon. If the first trip works out well, I'm sure we can arrange a second one after Geddon sometime. I know my folks wont mind.

Awesome - the more the merrier! The only thing to consider is transport, really. If you're keen, but don't know anyone with a car, provided you can get out there we will take your picture and hang out with you.

I SO CAN'T WAIT. I also can't wait for the second-trip-what-is-uncertain-but-would-be-awesome Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Should probably see how the first one goes. XP

Twenty minutes drive from Coastlands. An hour from Wellington. I'm pretty sure I can bribe my parents/siblings to get at least one car-load from the end of the train at Coastlands, maybe two. But more cars would be better than fewer cars.

I'll check the bus timetable from Coastlands to the place, and post it later on today. It's not great, but it's do-able.

Oooh, looking at the google maps reminded me, we could also do a sub-trip to the Otaki Gorge, which has some pretty spectacular scenery.

We're currently in serious need of cars!

ETA: Noooooo! I just realised Neil Gaiman is speaking on the 13th! at 5:30. I thought he wasn't here till May! I need to get tickets!! We'll have to plan around that.

To ask who is actually coming? How many cars do we have? What time do people want to leave town? Due to THINGS (These things being Amanda Palmer and Neil Gaiman) should we move it to the Sunday day? Leave super early, get back late? Or should we call the whole thing off and try again a bit later on?

Okay - then I hereby throw in my vote for the weekend of the 10th of April - one weekend after Geddon, so people will have shiny comp costumes to show off, and heaps of time :)

Would it be alright if I trucked in one or two people for shoots this weekend? Just a tiny trip, not an epic mission Razz YOURSELF INCLUDED.
