4 of us so far (provided Catness, you and Cheri's booking goes without any hitches) looking for more at the Downtown Backpackers, so anyone reading this accomodation thread, come join us!

@SS: That sounds great. I'll organise a taxi bus for those who are interested in going to town on Sat.

^It's only about a twenty minute walk from the Beehive to Courtney.
So yea, you don't really need to catch a bus from one end to the other.

Yeah, central city Wellington is pretty compact. It's only if you want to head further afield it gets more fun.

i'll join this since my bus arrives at the railway station so it'll be easy to get around if i'm closer to everything.
I'm coming down on the thursday though and can someone book for me and i pay them back in march.

n i'll hav 2 other frineds maby 3 and a sister who will probably stay too...
we don't really wana spend so much on occomodation, but i don't c anything else ;; would be awesome to just rent a empty room in bring sleeping bags lol XD anyone know of somthing lik that? coz we really don't mind a floor to sleep on haha

Either you need private rooms, or if you are in bulk backpacker type bunk rooms then you need to hire lockers during the day.

TinTango, you may need to update the list page 1.

Have tried to talk Mystix into this too.

Anyway I am assuming that people need to book their own rooms?

I've just checked the travelbug website, per night:
4 bed share is $27 per person
6 bed share is $26 per person
single room $62

I've already payed for my own room, and am not keen on sharing as I like my creature comforts/privacy.
But if anyone's interested in the bed shares, you could post in this thread that you're interested in forming a group, and depending on numbers, could possibly book the room together.

I agree with Highlander, it would probably be best if people book themselves, or find someone from their group to book for them, as you'll need photo ID to check in.

So who out of the list is not booked yet?

I need to keep my costs down if I am to go, so I need at least one other person to book a room with.
I don't know how people feel about mixed rooms?

Emma/RainbowMoon dust is going to book soon as well.
