Armageddon After Party

Getting there:
The following bus routes stop outside our house: Orbiter, Metro Star, 81 , 83, 3, 19
When:
7pm start on Saturday 27th of March
Bring:
Food / Drink - we won't be providing much in the way of refreshments. You can bring alcohol for your own personal use, but drunkeness won't be tolerated
Entertainment:
Guitar Hero, Xbox360, PS2 and Singstar, Music, Movies.

Everyone welcome, bring a friend.

I am contemplating organizing an afterparty for the Christchurch Armageddon, an event where you can hang out with everyone from the armageddon event, and hopefully with all the people from the forum as well.

If you've been to any of my events (HCP, CHOSMAS) you'll know I definately have the ability to pull off a great night.

It would probably be on the Saturday or Sunday night, however I need to wait until the time table comes out to ensure i'm not clashing with anything important.

My preference would probably be to have it on the sunday, so that theres nothing to miss out on if you sleep in the next day, and so cosplayers don't not come so they can finish their costumes.

What are peoples thoughts?

I'd prefer this to be on the sunday evening though as there will most likely be a VA dinner on the saturday night which I plan on going to if there is one. Besides I will probably have plans for that evening anyway.

I'm in Adelaide until 4pm on Sunday, and I'd love to see you all that weekend and hear what the con' was like. D= This would be an awesome excuse for me to hang out with y'all.

Monday after is a school day, btw D:

It depends when my flights back to Welly will be. Although I can see it being Sunday night >___>;;

Though if they are on Monday night, then I'm fine with whenever xD. (Although Lavi, who I'm staying with, prolly has school on Monday ...)

Edit: Oh, and if I have a way to get around xP.

Um, people could be tried after events and stressed out from making cosplay materials ..

But it could be interesting, but it could be stressful.. Anyway it looks like it's going to be a long weekend xD

Well, not everyone will have a problem with doing more after Geddon. If you do, then just don't go.

Personally, I'd like it, because I'm friends with CHCH people, and I don't get to see them much, so more time (when it's just cosplayers, and not cosplayers + randoms at geddon) to talk to people would be nice. And you know how hectic geddon can be, so you don't always get to talk to the people you want to xD.

Claire, I'm talking about an ARMAGEDDON party, which is completely different to what you were suggesting, which was your party in part, to celebrate YOUR BIRTHDAY (which was in December). This doesn't really work because not everyone that might be interested in an armageddon after party knows you, or would feel appropriate celebrating your birthday.

A birthday party is a personal thing, to be shared with your close friends and family, not for strangers or people you don't know very well.

I definately think you should celebrate your birthday, but you should have it for a group of your friends. What I'm envisaging here is just a very relaxed social gathering for people to turn up to, and meet other people, after armageddon. This would be open to all armageddon attendees (though obviously i'm not going to actively advertise it to the entire convention), and hopefully as well as some of the people from this forum, we could also have people invite randoms that they meet or hang out with at the expo.

I wouldn't be providing alcohol (or much of anything). If people bring something to drink, I'd probably wouldn't kick them out unless they get too intoxicated or make a nuicense of themselves.

My flatmate and fiancee both work for a local security firm, so if we do have any issues we'll definately be able to take care of it :)

Cool cool. It will be my last night of being a teenager, which is a good reason to drink.
If my boyfriend comes there can be three security guards! Although he is more likley to make trouble than fix it on a night off...

Any ideas where it will be?
