@Greg: Hey. Hey. Remember the time you tried to put brotherhood on my computer off your USB but IT DIDN'T WORK ON A MAC? I get that it's a formatting issue, but perhaps you can understand the cause of my confusion. Plz not to condescend when you are the root of the problem. Also, I like not being the jerkhole buyer who comes back to complain that it didn't work when it turns out it's not compatible with their system in the first place - it's a CYA sort of thing.

Most thumbdiscs are OK, but yeah, there are some weird quicks. My memory card reader which works fine with PC won't work on my Macbook. Keep having to pinch Statics. Bought another one from Jaycar, thing looks 100% identical, but apparently that ones got Mac support - haven't got round to trying it yet, but I'm going to be most displeased if it doesn't work...

PS: Sorry for off topic, just commenting on the usb compatibility thing.

@JP: Being able to remember the days when only one in twenty digital cameras would work on a mac, I can sympathise entirely - I have a habit of checking just to be safe even now. sweatdrop

Usb is a problematic thing, format it the wrong way and things go wonky.
Same with windows, most usb sticks if you format them NTFS, they go nuts.

:) Macs dont always like pc hardware either lol no matter how compatible.

I usually find that if it's formatted on a mac it'll work on both, but if it's formatted on a pc then you start to come across problems (though bizarrely it's the other way around with at least the original iPods).

...though having said that, we are getting a teeny bit off-topic - sorry Cyren. n_n; Anyone who wants to keep discussing this topic can make a new thread. :3
