When is bumping a topic ok?

Before i get in accidental mistake mode, i'm curious as to what the guidelines are for bumping topics.
I just started to get in the habit of combining topic ideas in one space (plugging forum for example) - and uhm .. was wondering when bumping was acceptable?

I dont understand..
I'm asking the question cause i have topics i made myself, and have combined ideas into the topic that normally i would make seperate topics (and make a fool of myself in front of moderators again Razz

) ...

but like with my kanzen ni jrock updates one, for plugging i wanted to bump to tell people that things were updated... is this allowed/

@Reiko: I know in the marketplace new rules you're allowed to bump a topic after a week.

If you have new useful information concerning your thread and your thread has been inactive for quite a long time, only then bumping is allowed.
If you post something useless like 'Ohhh! I like cosplay too!' or anything that holds no value to others, this is 'necroing' which is against CNZ rules.

Uhm, it was a comment directed at tammy about something else,
anyways i got the jist of the rule, and have updated the KnJ thing as hopefully close to or on target with the rule, i'm glad i asked here...
