Cosplay book - Wellington shoot BOOKINGS

Hi I am just popping in to stick in my two cents – I am
fairly shocked to hear that some people booked slots and didn’t turn up . I know cons are super exciting and things can pop up- but remember that what Static is offering is fantastic!

Static is a fully qualified photographer (degree and such) and she has worked
commercially.

Static is a cosplayer and knows her sugar honey iced tea- she will seek out backgrounds that suit the character, or use her camera to create them (ie. With dramatic angels
and depth of field)

Static could spend her time chillin’ and illin’ but she works her booty off shooting for hours and dragging round her equipment – then doing all the post production work

Static will make you look hot – she is sensitive and will never make you look foolish or sleazy

As I said in my first post, what Static offers is valuable. She would be in her rights to charge several hundred dollars for a shoot (and 10 years later you wouldn’t get much change from a grand).

So please give her your cell phone numbers! Email her if you are sick, get a friend to pass it on. Static is a pro, so please treat her like one.

Static; I was looking at your waiver and noticed

I know the 18 has probably got to do with 'adult/mature content'. I shouldn't be bringing stuff up like this, and I don't if the age "clause" will affect your work, But;
The legal age to pose for mature content in NZ is actually 16, as long as it is not a lewd act.

And possibly as an idea for 15 and unders you should add something about a Parents/Guardian permission or get them to sign on behalf.

Ah, yeah - I can't actually change the form, it's a stock one used by the AIPA. For under 18s I need to sort out a different form; I switched to this one rather than my original one because I know for a fact this one is legally binding and I'm not 100% on the one I drafted myself. :) Thank you for pointing that out, though! I need to talk to lawyery people about the under 18s one.

At everyone who's worried they missed out - I'll be opening it up again, I promise!! I'm just waiting on a couple of people, but those slots WILL be re-opened and first dibs will go to you guys :)

Hey guys - Don't forget you've booked a shoot! Have another look at the schedule and make as many notes as you can. IF I DO NOT HAVE YOUR CELLPHONE NUMBER, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO GET IT TO ME! If there are any delays or re-shuffles that need to be done, I need to be able to let you know.

I am also going to instigate a blacklist if people stand me up - do it three times, and I will not be shooting with you again. Put reminders in your phone, tell the people you're with, whatever you have to do to remember! If you let me know in advance, THAT IS FINE. I'm just talking about no-explanation no-shows. :)

On the 18+ thing in the consent form - it will not be changed. 18 is the age of legally being able to sign away your rights, so if you are under 18, you need a guardian to sign it. No exceptions. Pre-signing and bringing it with you is preferable, but not compulsory - obviously some parents are going to want to make sure I don't take upskirts and dodgy stuff before they sign their kiddies off Razz

ALSO - if you know people who want shoots but aren't on the forums, tell them about this thread! I will take bookings by proxy, provided I have a name and contact number.
