| Just a pre-warning - I MAY not be able to be your Yuuko if 48 Hour Film Fest is on the same weekend. Dates for that haven't been announced, so here's hoping it won't be! (I think I'm now officially the right height, too - 5"8)
@Alex 8 gets my vote, but I'm biased on that one obviously.

@Steph: I say deffo hand paint the leaves - the roses... as long as they'll fit on an a4 sheet of transfer paper then I would use transfer paper -- screenprinting would work really well for them, but unless you have access to screenprinting facilities already, it can be really expensive.

| slkjfsl the problem is moro (you're doing moro right? i can never remember which one is which) has a really odd hair colour... i'd say the blue ones are too bright and would probably suggest something like this and then dying it a slate blue- but that would take ages. >8|

| YAY! Yeah, the too-bright thing is why I thought the third one might be better and then curling it, but maybe tinting a grey one blue would work alright afterall... I'm just worried that if I dye a curly wig then I'll end up washing the curls out when I wash the dye out - but the curls will only come out if I use water that is too hot, right?

| @JVCA I agree with you that the third wig is the best colour...If you can curl it yourself easily enough then I would go with that one. I think it would be better to go to a wee bit more effort and get the colour just right rather than going for the brighter one. Seraphik's idea works too. xD
And cool, thanks for the advice about my rose patternss~ 8D I know nothing about screenprinting or what you need for it, so though it probably would produce the best results, I'm on a student budget and I'm unfaimilar with it, so yesh. OTL;; Might try that one when I'm more experienced with cosplay~ Transfer paper it shall be! I'm pretty confident the roses will fit on A4. n_n

| yeah, curls are reeeeally hard to get out of a wig-- especially those wigs (as i've done a bit of styling with himawari and they're fairly set). so yeah, unless you use really hot water it shouldn't be a problem. 8DDD

| AWESOME. More spray dyeing it is! Oh: actually - what kind of fiber is it? Coz that will affect how it dyes... It doesn't say in the auction - does your Himawari one say on the tag? If it's Elora I refuse to try dye it (that's what the Edge wig was, and that didn't dye well at all), but if it's Kankelon or Tokyolon I'll give it a shot.

| i'll go dig it out later, but i'm almost 100% sure it's kankelon... i don't like buying wigs that are made of any other fibre, really. 8| 'cause you run into issues, haha... i'm also going out over the next few days to mitre 10 to get some silicon lubricant to detangle long wigs, just in case... though from what i've seen from the wig so far, the curls tangle less than straight fibres. which is weird.
