| That is fantastic!
Just wondering though, how can we get passed off as a charity? I could fully see CNZ as a valid, sponsorship-worthy community group or youth group, but charity could be a tad harder. Mind you I know nothing about these kind of things lol.
GREAT JOB!<3 |

| Charity, I believe, is just a general term for non-profit organisation? I could be wrong. _________________

| Hmm, I really don't know O_O
I'm currently in a group that is going through the same thing, with a woman who's DAY TIME JOB is to ask monies for community projects. So hearing her talking about it went right past my head. I'll ask what are the differences. It was pretty intense though, things needed to be done. Like a proper legal name, proper board of directors and all the bigcheese stuff.
Either way, CNS is most certainly a community, we could ever use the Young Enterpriser Non Profit Community Organisation card quite a bit. So either way this is red gooey liquid brilliant! |

| As JVCA said charity status is essential not for profit, and for the promotion of a goal as set by the group charter (/rules).
Initially we're setting ourselves up as an unincorporated society, and applying for charitable status. As part of this we've already had to do the charter/rules. One of the criteria for charitable grants is usually that the bank account is in the name of the organisation, so we're also in the process of opening a bank account in the name society as a not for profit organisation (no bank fees).
So yes, we are trying to cover as many of the bases as possible. :) |

| yay i get Kudos!! but it was a comity decision so we all get some part of it. Us crazy crazy people. and even if we don't get charitable status we can still be a non profit Society under leisure activities or something. like the sports people. Hehehe make cosplay a sport, then for once i can say I'm a sporty person |
