MOAR PHOTO RESEARCH STUFF.

Okay guys - I am in the middle of my final cosplay project for uni, and have changed direction slightly...to something MUCH BETTERER. What I now intend to do is to just do a bunch of private photoshoots around the country with whoever is keen, and ask you a few questions on your choice of costume, what attracted you to the character, etc, and then use the best of the images in my final output.

I need as many people as possible - I will be travelling all over the place, starting with Palmy/New Plymouth in three weeks time. I'll then head down south to Chch, then Dunners the week after that, and then I'll finish up in Auckland. Anybody in any of these centres who's interested in participating (AND MAY I ADD I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER AND PROBABLY THEN SOME MORE), please post here with what day/time you would like, and any pertinent notes...like, if you have a particularly unwieldy or awkward costume, I'll allow a bit of extra time.

The shoots won't be too long - half an hour to 45min each, depending on how many people in each place are interested. I would like to tailor each shoot as much as possible, so may need a bit of help sorting out locations that will cover as wide a range of costumes as possible...I know Christchurch a little bit, Palmy and Dunedin not at all, Auckland and NP pretty well.

Okay NOTE TO EVERYONE. If I do not have your cellphone number and I have a shoot with you, PM IT TO ME. Today was blargh and agh and like, stuff. So make sure I have your cellphone number!! I will do my very very best to mae sure nobody's left behind, but as happened today, things can go wrong...and also make sure I've updated the first post with all the details; that's the list I refer to when figuring out where I need to be at what time. If it aint in the first post, BUG ME UNTIL IT IS. I DON'T MIND AND IT IS BETTER THAN MISSING YOUR SHOOT BECAUSE I AM A MORON.

Each day I'd like to start shooting at about 10am, and finish no later than 4ish (depending on how much light there still is in the sky) - night shoots are eminently negotiable though, lol, just let me know in advance and I'll make arrangements for lighting.

Everyone who participates will get to preview the images - you can veto any you think are absolutely terrible (within reason - if you're just being picky and it's actually a lovely photo, tough

) and wil be required to sign a model release form. Examples of the project infor sheet and release form are here:

***EDIT*** I'm quite happy to do more than one costume for each person, time allowing - probably not back to back shooting slots (I could get another person in while the first is changing) but yeah, negotiable :) And the final withdrawal date for photos is SEPTEMBER 20th! I missed that bit. Changing now. XD

And those under 18 WILL need to have parents sign the release. Once they and you have viewed the image, print the form and sign it, then post it to me. I will quite happily pay for postage, or, if you'd like to sign it at the shoot, that would also be fine - remember, you can veto any photos that aren't appropriate. I'd prefer people to sign at the shoot (it makes my paper handling a little less of a hassle) but if parents are not at said shoot, after is fine. Or, if they're really keen, you may print it out, sign it and bring it with you - look, I'm so flexible! XD

Static would you mind if I tag along to your Auckland one as a photographer as well? Seems like an ideal chance to put some of the things I have been learning into practice, and I promise to not get in yer way. :)

I don't mind at all! It's up to models ultimately, but I have no problems, and I can't really imagine anyone else will XP

Sylvie, you've got two different dates on the info sheet - the 20th of september and the 1st of september... n_n;

Assuming that you intend to take photos in september rather than august, I can do the 12th but not the 13th, as I work sundays. Uhh... any request for what costume you want me to wear? n_n;

Blargh, stupid dates! I changed my info sheet (previously it was more like a documentary thing) and clearly I bollocksed the dates up. Yes, the auckland weekend is september, not a trip back in time to august, and does anyone have preferences for days/times?

Kiki: I'll be in palmy anyway that day, I have one shoot lined up for a different assignment already - it's no problem to fit you in :)

Also - group shoots are also fine, I'll allow a little more time Very Happy
