2010 Events Brainstorm

Hi Guys!

Okay - we're asking you what you want to see events wise at this convention. There are a lot more options available to us now as this event is for the anime die hards only.

So what will it be? Tetris, non-stop skits, live action cosplay chess, hall cosplay contest, fight scenes re-constructed, character therapy sessions? The sky is the limit, and the more creative your ideas the better. >w<

Any ideas are appreciated! Get your thinking caps on. Smile

Another idea! XD
... panels? If we have a couple of anime groups they could perhaps do a panel?
Also debate panel ... sub vs dub, anime vs manga etc?

oh yup! Would be pretty nifty to do some panels, actually. :3 (though we're probably going to have to watch the sub vs dub thing if they get the english VAs in, heheh.)

Also "Showdown of the Shonen's" (Keysha came up with that name), if we have quite a few shonen groups who are willing to battle/dare/diss and compete in various quests/tasks etc

Its all good Mandie, we just want any ideas, even ideas for ideas ahah.
I'ma researching other cons, and just throwing ideas at the moment without focusing on how to organise/run them at this stage.

Here's another,
Scavanger/treasure/cosplayer/anime hunt (one of them not all of them lol) throughout the con? We'd have to check with Bill first but there's another idea.

Yeah I think guys if you can't think of ideas but are reading this thread tell us of the ideas listed so far what you'd be keen to participate in.

also there's doctors waiting room, Oprah show, big brother, tribal council, dating game, court trial, news, anime character auction? oO

Just thinking, there's tetris, is it possible to do pac man or space invaders? Oo

and maybe musical performances? otakon usually hires a small group of people from the eminence orchestra and they play videogame/anime theme songs etc. /could facilitate

plus things like tetris/asteroids/pacman comps would probably attract a lot of students

could have a dub the anime competition, where we could have a popular (or not so)scene from an anime playing and volunteers can dub it - whether they say the actual dialogue or make it up.

if we don't have an amv contest, could just go with a screening instead?
will there be an anime/manga drawing contest?
