Cemeteries in Wellington?

I've been thinking about this for a little while and I've decided that if I can find the time, I want to do a photoshoot in a cemetery as Ryohei.

So.

Any cemeteries near the 'Geddon/backpackers/in town at all?

(Also, if I can find one, I wanna borrow your Colo bandanna, Pura, for... hopefully obvious reasons?)

(Double also, syn. You're being dragged out there for a cemetery shoot as well, since it'll be on Saturday evening. Probably)

There's one I think near the Botanical Gardens. I think that's the one I went to the other week >_> It's kind of near the Parliament Library carpark (.. mother's work carpark 8D) Then up the road, past some building and up...

Erm, I don't think it'd be a very good idea to have a photoshoot in a graveyard. It's pretty darn disrespectful :/

Try a church, but not a graveyard plz. St. Pauls Church is really beautiful, and Old St. Pauls is too.

The one near the botanical gardens is called the Bolton Street Cemetery, adn Rikki - I'll take you up there for a shoot if you like. I have done more assignments there than I care to remember, there are some samples of what it looks like at photo.little-noise.com - it's very old, very run-down and overgrown, and reeeeally cool looking. It's also (supposedly) free of bodies - they relocated the whole cemetery when they built the motorway - all the remains they found are now in a mass grave under a memorial lawn by the chapel.

EDIT: ...Li-bai? No bodies in Bolton Cemetery :3 ergo, no disrespect.

Don't worry, Li-Bai.

It's actually killing my morals and love of cemetaries just to decide to do this shoot.

When I enter a cemetery, I won't speak. Just driving or walking past a cemetery, I refuse to speak, even if I'm in the middle of laughing or a really big conversation. But it's a 'respect for the dead' photoshoot (hence the needing to borrow Pura's headband) considering I want to do a photoshoot of Ryohei remembering his master.

Static: Bolton Street? Sounds familiar. /thinks for a moment. Yeah. I think Dad mentioned it once or twice. Also. You = <3 Srsly. Would you be free to do it after Geddon Saturday?

Yeeess...you coming to the VA dinner though? Would have to be before that, so around 6ish. It's a reasonably accessible place, but there are a lot of areas with different feels to them - overgrown and wild versus neatly kept, versus old and venerable, etc. So we'd need a little bit to hike around it. Probably a bit before 6 actually...

If it's the one I think it is, then its quite nice. It was one of the first cemeteries I saw after I came to Wellington. It's not that big, but it's nice. :)

Nope. Not going to the dinner. We could maybe go around three or so, if you weren't planning on sticking around to see things like the AMV contest or Kamehameha contest. I'm free all day anyway. Also planning on dragging syn around because overgrown and wild = perfect for the Hurricane Bomber

I'm actually giving 'geddon a miss on the saturday, I have a massive amount of uni work to do so I'll be taking care of that. So later is better for me, since I'll be in town for the dinner anyway. Shall we say 5? Heeeaps of time that way.
