Auckgeddon is on the move!

That's right - Auckgeddon will no longer be held in the Aotea Centre - from 2009 it will be held at the ASB Showgrounds - same days (still labour weekend), just a different location. For those who've been to the Easter Show, or Big Boys Toys - that's where it is. :3

Well this means I need to find a new backpackers, just as well, I was not impressed with ACB this year. Between the lousy showers and poor service I was hoping to get an excuse to find a new place.

and the best part is it means more space! *o* Gah, the level that had the stalls on this year was incredibly packed - not very fun. >>;

Yeah. Apparently Auck office isn't all that far from it (well, a dozen blocks or so), so I wanna try to go for a walk when i'm up there on Monday if I get a chance. See whats actually about.

That's a good point - but this year they had a few arcade games in the convention centre, and if the sponsors are positive, then maybe there will be even more arcadey games next year? :) But that doesn't solve the plaza problem, I suppose. >_>

Bigger space YAY.

It was soooooooooooooo crowded this year, so a good move I think to move to a bigger venue, although the plaza next to the Aotea Centre was handy. I can't wait to see what new stuff they put in now that there is more room.

And my bro heartily agrees that it will be good to have it all on one level!

Hopefully it won't be so awkward for cosplayers with sticky outy bits on their costumes next year?
