It's only about ten seconds, but quite a few times I notice mistakes straight away and it tells me to wait. I'm really impatient too >__>

How tougher are you guys going to become ?

Don't most forums have rules and if those rules are broken they get sent a warning and three strikes and your out ?
Are we really going to send people away from the forums ?

Most forums have rules on double posting, spamming , how big and small signatures and avatars are, and insulting teasing mocking others..

but never really seen or been on a online forum that is so anti-about bringing back the old threads, back to life from the dead..

(unless the thread is a year old, then it's a bit silly..)

But if the mods become too tough, people will just get scared or annoyed and leave, or not even join at all..

That's why was humbly enjoying posting on this forum, because it was so carefree compared to the other and tougher forums of the past..

It may sound stupid, but really scared of getting 'mod bashed' now, or bashed up from the other people who speak and chat on this forum, if the rules start to become harsher..

The old thread posting was more about someone asking help to make a cosplay for an event, they figure it out/event passes, but then someone goes and revives it with help for a problem that was sorted months ago.

I don't think anyone minds for other threads (such as one about an anime series).

Peeps on here are generally not quite as idiotic as there are on other forums. I suspect that to a large degree, we need less modding here than our counterparts.
we all know each other, and we are all relatively civil.
Sigs seem to be "normal" thus far - a fact which I am quite impressed with.
Most of us dont double post to stupid proportions, and behavior, while occasionally naughty isnt too bad (me being the major culprit).

JVCA seems responsible and I think is just being preemptive should things go bad somewhere. I dont think the mods will go ballistic.

Trust me, the mods arn't going to become 'strict' or anything of the like.
We're a forum which is community based.
Simply, this thread is telling other friends something's annoying us.
It is needless posting & we're simply telling you all to try be a bit more careful?

Mods would never ban someone because of this~
Also, because we are also friends with the members, there shouldn't ever have to be someone who needs to be banned.

If the mods see something happening which they don't particularly like, they'd generally PM the person && sort it out there... It's not like the mods are above anyone else, or have the right to offend anyones views on anything.

On average, I'd say the mods here are pretty relaxed.
So, it's AWWWWWWWW RIGHT~

Its only because the forum community has gotten bigger (300+ members wuuuut) that we're discussing this. And it /is/ getting problematic when people double, triple, etc post. We'll still be slack, but not so slack that we're gonna ignore spam, abuse, etc.
So just avoid double posting and use the edit button. (It was okay when we had 20 members, but now its more than 300 it quite ridiculous to double post)

Yup agree with what Kitten Slave, Duckeh and Tammy have said. All the active members right now are all friends or friends of friends, and no one has done anything to deserve a severe warning or near banning, and I doubt that'll happen to anyone active now.
There's nothing wrong with enforcing rules to keep the forum tidy and organised. We're not gonna bash anyone. So there's nothing to worry about~

Also what Pura said, I think reviving threads about anime, games, music etc are all fine, just topics that are literally finished, unless say its one of the cons, a member appears with a video or something they've found and then uploaded. Then thats okay. Imo.

'Bumping' - when you need people to see your edit, or your thread has gone down the page but hasn't had the response you need, is acceptable in my eyes.

It's mostly making a second post straight after the first instead of hitting edit that's the problem, methinks. :)
