Looking for Memory Card
Post By Rikki-Leigh. 20/10/08, 05:26 pm

I'm looking to borrow a Camera memory card for Saturday of Auckgeddon which I can pick up/grab off someone on Saturday and return on Sunday.

I don't know what sort of card it is, but here is my one:

As you can see, its a 128MB card (only holds 173 photos which probably won't be enough for Saturday, considering the KHR photoshoot) and rather large.

Any help?

That's a Smart Media card, and I didn't know they still made them o____o if they do, they'll be ridiculously cheap; so if nobody comes through with a spare maybe check out Harvey Norman's, Noel Leemings, etc? Sorry not to be more help!

Yeah, just looked at flashcards.co.nz and they're saying not made either. did spot a 128mb on trademe, but they wanted $99 for it!

Depending on how flash the camera is you might be better to sell the camera and pick up a cheap replacement?

xDD I love this camera though. Olympus C-720 Ultra Zoom. *hugs it* I guess I'll just have to survive with 173 photos xD

Way old memory type. The newer ones are way cheaper, the older/obsoleted ones are really hard to get now and quite expensive.

these cards are now substituted for the XD card type so it will either be a stratight swap or a small dinky plastic adaptor and youll be sorted

...how does an adapter for SM to XD work? An XD is fatter than a SM! Do they somehow bend the very fabric of space ad jam themselves in there? If so, I want one. Just for shits and giggles. And party tricks.

no you adapt the other way around so you can use it in an XD camera which is the best option

if your looking for straight memory haulage get a pda with a USB port and a Usb 24 in one converter and just chuck it in the PDA on the go

heh, sorry balmung, you might want to re-read the first post. she's got an old camera she wants to hold onto but is trying to get another or bigger card for it, but since they're not made any more that's the problem.

Might be your only option these days. Plus given how small they are the post would be minimal.
