Looking for something to make this pop
Post By DuckehsMinion. 25/10/12, 12:27 pm

Hey guys it's been a long time since iv signed in but I really want your help with this costume.
http://i35.servimg.com/u/f35/11/75/49/03/hel10.jpg

the outfit it's self is very easy but she has these root looking things covering it & I wont be satisfied with just basic fabric paint I was thinking hotglue but that could crack & fall apart. I'm pretty sure there is a type of fabric paint that holds the 3D look but I can't find it, any other suggestions are VERY welcome :3

Also any of you know what the best body paint is?

OMG. HELLO BUTT. <3

Would painted latex work at all? Glued to the fabric? That's all that's coming to me at the moment.

PMP are not cheap, and they will be rigid, not flexible, I think. Wonderflex would be flexible. You can cut layers and push them on top of each other. There are flexible rubbers you can try. Even foam insulation strips/craft foam, with sealing and painting?

Some people to ask would be Body FX, and hmm. I can't find the reference of the top of my head, but there is a movie supply company supplies resins, etc, and can advise on material selection.

I HAVE MISSED MY MINION.

Tammy tried using polymorph pellets once! She couldn't get a perfectly smooth surface, but that may have been because it was the night before. Razz I've seen others do it. So that'd be cool to try.

I don't think wonderflex would be appropriate for what you want at all really? It's thin plastic and would be very irritating to build up that way? >:

This is gonna look so awesome!

You can sand polymorph/FP though. I imagine the quality of the mould makes a big difference maybe, but I would be prepared to sand anything you mould. Do people completely melt the pellets first, or just soften them? I think it should melt completely at a fairly low temperature, which I can't remember off the top of my head.

People should also try casting more in pewter. But again it will be rigid.
