Okay, I'm doing a Tent Dress for my Duchess cosplay from Are you Alice and there doesn't seem to be any patterns anywhere. I've never made a tent dress before and would like to ask if anyone had any tips and advice for patterns and construction please.

um, i would just get a kids dress patern and size it up. or you could cut some pattern peices to the shape. then you could just decorate it. for the shape you could use a petticoat. i hope you find this useful.

It's fairly simple, for the bottom of the dress sew a channel and put some wiring that has been coiled in a circle for a while and that will help it to flare out and give the wavy edge
