Re: fabric - just a medium weight cotton blend would be fine. They have basic white ones at Fabric Warehouse that can be dyed really easily, and cotton sateen comes in HEAPS of colours. But, it's $17/m Neutral

Oh, yes - I don't know if this is just way too picky or not, but could we pick a width for our trims and keep it the same across all dresses? Say, 10cm?

EDIT OH MY GOD photo idea! In civic square, or somewhere where a photographer (JP? Very Happy?) can stand over head and look down at us all standing in a circle spinning so our skirts flare out! Like a little rainbow of SKIRTS.

Okay guys, I have one pattern. It takes a large amount of paper, and will also need a large amount of fabric - probably around 3-4m each. Do we have enough time to send a single pattern around the place, or not really? If wellington people want to meet upm we can all cut ours at the same time and then chuck it in the post.

I can meet up in Wellington :) and I don't mind 3-4 metres of fabric if it's not too costly, like not over $15 a metre~

Shinrii - ...that is a very good idea and that would totally work. Okay, someone from Chch and someone from Dunedin from 3 sheets of A0 paper and you can trace it out! I will put up instructions here too, if people need them.

Tails - the cotton I'm thinking of from Fabric Warehouse is either 10 or 12/metre :)
