PICNIC. SATURDAY. 12PM.

hey guys!

i was having a talk with some people about how there are very few places to eat around the new venue in addington comparatively to the CBD (and much more expensive if you eat inside the venue!) and also how awesome it's going to be to catch up with everyone again-- so i think the solution to both of these issues is to have a mass CNZ picnic on the saturday of chch '11! everyone gets some food to munch on, we all get to catch up and everyone wins.

SO this is how it's gonn' work:

WHERE: meet outside the front of the venue at 12pm. once we have a decent group of people we will relocate to the park on the opposite side of the addington raceway carpark.
WHO: YOU COOL GUYS.
WHY: because we'll be ravenous and skin-hungry.
WHAT: awesome picnic, duh.

what should i bring?

if a few people could bring some picnic blankets (as most of us are cosplayers and grass stains would probably make us BSOD), that would be absolutely awesome. i will try to bring one or two up from dunedin, but if you could post here saying if you're bringing one that would be amazing.

EVERYONE who wants to be part of the picnic must bring along something to add to the feast! this is only fair and the more people who come, the more variety. again, everyone wins! please don't just come along and freeload. ):

so, what kind of food should i take along?

up to you! it would be good if those who are interested in coming could post here saying whether they'll bring something sweet or savoury or DRINKS though, so we can get a bit of a balance! hard mode: post exactly what you're going to bring, so we can start feeling hungry two weeks in advance.

what will we be doing?

eating, catching up and maybe a game or two. something awesome.

other boring crap;

if i could have one or two helpers to help me make sure everything is cleaned up/park is litter free afterwards, that would be good too!

I'll try and bring savoury stuff, possibly pies or garlic bread? Can't bring any blankets sadly, because my mother and I don't have any but c'est la vie!!

I can bring rainbow cupcakes! That may be in the shape of dinosaurs! I might also make some peanut butter cups. I will also try to think of something savory to bring. I have a tarpoline I can bring. And water? (I always have heaps in my car since it overheats sweatdrop

)

edit: Also with food/blankets and STUFF people can put them in my car if they don't want to carry them all day round the con~

I'll come! Not sure what I'll bring I'm always good for bringing drinks and cups... I'll see. I also might have a blanket round somewhere I'll have a look and put it somewhere I can remember about it after moving.

I can bring a blanket and rubbish bag~ I'm all keen for being a tidy kiwi!
Oh and I'll bring some savoury scones~ looks like everyone else is bringing sweet stuff

p.s I would like to make the motion we do a scatter run at the end of this event!

Not sure what I can bring. I make super delicious noms but trying to bring them down by plane and then across by bus...

I can do healthy french style bread rolls? Well: buy french stick and stuff to go in and cut it up.
You can buy these on the street in paris with camembert and tomatoes and lettuce. Yeah. I know what I'm bringing for costme so it should all fit and not get squished :)

Me and Alex will be in attendance! If we have bag space we will bring a blanket, and food - well, food may well depend on what we can buy down there - not sure if we'll have time/space to bring something from Auck. One of us will do something sweet, one something savory.

Does anyone have any food allergies or whatever? Alex does great Gluten Free cupcakes if anyone can't have gluten (otherwise he'll probably just do normal cupcakes)
