Tummy Flattener
Post By Rosenquarts. 15/05/11, 06:12 pm

I have a tummy that makes me look pregenant and I was wondering what is the best way to flatten it as when
I try to put things on for modifying I have an arkward bump. Also when I bind, it seems to make flatting it harder.

Help appreciated

Also I cant excersise it off.

You can buy these things, I think they are called 'Body Shapers' or something like that from most lingerie stores and places like Farmers stock them too, they have all kinds so try to talking to one of the shop assistants and they can point you in the right direction. nodnod

How long have you been exercising for? Just for your information it takes months before you start losing actual kilos and weight loss tends to be a very slow progress.

If you do Parkour then I suggest you start small and make sure you warm up first. I completely screwed my knee doing it x.x

I have that problem too. You could try corsets if you want dressy cosplays and things. Otherwise I recommend the shape ware. You probably want to get the high waist bike pants and the singlet otherwise you end up with bits falling out. It's just the way those things are designed. You can get them anywhere from Bendon to Farmers so make sure you shop around.

Another thing that does it is the clothes you wear. If you wear your bra too tight it creates big bulges where there aren't as many. Same deal with wearing severely waisted pants and skirts. It stretches the skin and any fat that is there irrelevant of how much is pushed up or down giving you a bigger look.

I don't think I can do Parkour. my ankle is screwed cause I didn't get it checked out.

My stomach is not fat (I'm not grumpy at yooous, your helpfuuuuul). Its filled with something that is embarassing to tell and its been like that for years.

But I thank you guys for your help.

I've seen tummy shaper type things advertised before aswell, there are quite a few NZ underwear and lingerie places that carry them.

You could also look at whether a corset might be appropriate, but it would restrict your movement quite considerably and you can't wear them too tight without practice (think internal organs being squished).

Depending on how much flattening you want I'd probably just say look at the flatteners and see how much difference they make.

Edit: Looks like Trademe has an entire section on "Shapewear" aswell. The tummy shapers seem to be what you'd be looking for.

I feel really negative for bringing this up but I wouldn't advise anything tight around your abdomen unless you have talked to someone medical.

I think lycra body shapers would be okay - but please start off with something light!
