| Update: So I have talked Nadiah about to Sake Bar, and it does not appear as suitable as we thought.
So we are going to bus into town, to the metro food court, and then wander down queen street to a karaoke place down there. Probably end up in a place with rooms of a few people each.
So meet us at the bus stop on Manukau Road, (north of the lights, down the road a bit), say 6:30pm-ish. Or be at the metro food court about 7:30pm-8pm-ish. PM me if you want a cell number to contact on the night.

| Despite the name they claim to be a family restaurant, so no age limit. Alcohol is available, but no BYO. However I expect people to be sensible and moderate.

| I'm not sure what the restaurant will think, but I can't see it being a problem. Japanese bar, Japanese cosplay culture? But i'm sure they will like our money. Besides it's a private room.
So as long as you don't mind risking getting food on the costume, then sure. |

| | Might I suggest that ya contact the bar and tell them we will likely be coming straight from the event and need to know if cosplay allowed. Note if it is allowed keep ur "props" in their bags if they weapon like so we don't scare the normals |

| I really can't see it being a problem at all.
As for props, it's a private room. It's also a meal and karaoke, not the wild west, so just put them in the corner and leave them there. (Otherwise I will take them off you.) Or place them in someones motel room before you get there.
The golden rule is that you are in public from Geddon to the Bar. On any bus home, etc. So yeah be sensible. People do realize it's Geddon, and you are in group in costumes, so you can get away with a lot. I wore swords, no problem, but you have to judge that yourself. But they stay in the scabbard. And on entering the Bar should be taken off your belt and placed somewhere. Anything resembling realistic Guns go in a bag. Too large, then cloth with rope around the ends and slung over your shoulder. |
