Will has found this place quite close to uni.http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~kiwisnest/

There seem to be a range of rooms from 2 ($30pp), 4 ($25pp) or a 6 (?) people room.

Or if you would rather stay near theother cosplayers I presume some are staying at the Central Backpackers.

Lilapmedia,Fleyer,Tora-Leigh and myself are staying at Central Backpackers again this year - but from what I gathered on the phone, the rooms are filling up quick so you might want to sort that out pretty soon if thats the way you're going :)

Hey guys,
I got a call from Central Backpackers today - they know I'm staying for NZAE and know that we stayed last year. They wanted to know if any more people are staying again this year, I told them that you might but are considering another backpackers and then they told me they will offer special rates to you guys - if you are interested, ring them up :)
(they thought it was really awesome how you had the sewing machines set up in your room apparently)

I'm really tempted by the Downtown offer, but they don't have any non-pay for parking...

I wonder what the discount is? Given that kiwinest has cheaper prices to start with. (And car parks).

Maybe this is a off time of the year, so we can negotiate a bit? Esp with less tourism ATM.

Personally, I would go for familiarity and happy-goodness, especially if they were within the same area of price range.
I mean, they loved you guys there last time. xD It would probably be a highlight of their year to have you guys all stay again. And it's always good to have a happy reception when you walk in because they know you.
But then, that's just me.

On another topic what are people doing for food? Takeouts all the time? Or anyone wanting to cook food together, buy breakfast stuff together, whatever? Also anyone know what food will be available during the event itself?
