Ok, some of you know Mel (u_ne_korn) has been working for me doing customer services & delivery driving, but since she has her masters now she's decided to start looking at new jobs and getting on with her career.

Since she's looking at moving, I need to get someone to replace her.
The job is essentially comprised of 3 parts.
Front Desk / Customer Services Officer - dealing with customers over the counter, and booking their jobs into our system.
Delivery Run - driving around Wellington picking up/dropping off repairs - followed by booking them on return.
Basic diag/testing - testing iPods and other basic consumer products, ascertaining they're faulty and/or in warranty and either ordering replacements or quoting accordingly.

Since there is a couple of hours driving a day, driving a company vehicle restricted is required at a bare minimum, full preferred, at least a couple of years driver experience also preferred. On to it attitude, and ability to deal with customers via both phone and front facing situations are also pre-requisites.

You'll be trained in the finer points of the job as you go, but are expected to pick things up quite quickly, and if you don't know the answer, don't fake it, ask the question.

I'll be preparing an official listing to load up onto Seek or similar in the next day or two, but if anyones interested please PM me and I'll reply back with my work email address to send me your CV.

Hrm.. another reason to learn? Razz But yeah - for everyone out there that doesn't have your license yet, even if you're not planning on driving on a regular basis, they're DAMN useful to have.

I'd be taking the newbie round the route a time or two to get them used to it, and you learn the Wellington roads as you do it.

Heh, i manage the Wellington branch. Razz

ChCh has just got a new manager since the other one decided to move back to Auck (concerns for family and the whole earth shaking thing - so kinda understandable). Otherwise yeah if i hear of anything cropping up i'll forward a link to you. There are openings from time to time in various areas of the branches. Some get listed on the website, most get listed on Seek.

I'm just starting my 4th year at Richard Smith - would be nice to do something a bit more technically minded.

Soo... if anyone hadn't heard Mel made her decision to take the plunge and move on.
