probably the only thing SNK is famous for ;w;" The ones at the arcade were so much fun >w<
IT'S AN AWESOME GAME BECAUSE THERE A CHARACTER IN IT WITH MY NAME >D /Nadia.

Metal Slug for the DS is surprisingly disappointing though :'I most of the first level is underground and going through a mine shaft for ages is pretty boring =_="
and you don't even get infinite continues (then again, I'm a n00b at these kinda games. maybe there's a way to turn it off..)

Its good i must say...but KOF (King of Fighters) would be SNK's most famous game >.<

But you have to admit... you get a kick out of Metal Slug when you hear "Rocket Lowncher~"

probably that has something to do with them going bankrupt in 2001

they haven't really made any 'great' games since the mid 1990's — after the neo-geo they've mostly been content with making sequels/spin-offs to their more popular franchises

ps i can't find the figures atm but i'm pretty sure nintendo/microsoft gs/se/ea are all far bigger (and more prolific) than bandai ever will be

.... yeah i will agree with you ...but im just sayin Bandai seems to have its mark on nearly every none-sport and shooter game out there ><

EDIT : I'd say EA and Bandai are about even

Not Bandai. I do see Capcom however being involved with F/SN.

*Looks at Fate/Unlimited Codes*

On topic though, I thoroughly enjoy the Metal Slug games. I remembered in my younger days finishing it with $10 worth of lives.

Very proud moment there.

Capcom with FS/N? ..really?

(its quite funny how you say Capcom...and we talk about Bandai..and SNK...brings me to another game Namco X Capcom never played it but looks good)

and yes Metal Slug was i think the very reason for my existence when i was 11 XD

Capcom published Fate/Unlimited Codes for the PSP and PS2 for Cavia and Eighting. Trust me. I'm a Type-Moon addict.

Yes, but I prefer its sister visual novel Tsukihime. Melty Blood was the fighting game developed from that and is also the origins of my avatar.

Anyways, back on topic. For nostalgia, I keep Metal Slug 1-5 and X on an Arcade Emulator for me to play any time I want.
