Hair Dye
Post By Kittykitkat. 13/03/11, 03:55 pm

I'm wanting to dye my hair blue (Sky Blue sort) and i was wondering what brand would be best.
My hair is naturally Medium Brown so would i need to bleach it first?
It has to be a temporary dye that wouldn't last more that 2 weeks.

EDIT: there's a girl at my school who has dark blonde hair and she sprays it all sorts of wonderful colours...but i dont think that's the best option....

You would definitely have to bleach first if you want it to be really blue (if there's any yellow tint in your hair after bleaching may come out slightly greenwhen you dye it blue). I gave myself flame hair http://ox0kristen0xo.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2ozf6g using Special Effects hair dyes purchased online from Sinister Boutique http://www.sinister.co.nz/ . They have a nice light blue colour called Fish bowl (which I ordered yesterday Razz), though these colours will last longer than 2 weeks... (there are ways of making them fade faster). You could also try Manic panic or Fudge colours (Fudge can be bought from Shampoo &Things). I'm told Fudge fades quite quick. Also if you buy a dark blue colour you can dilute the dye with conditioner to make it give a more pastel (sky) blue colour. Just remember that bleaching is permanent and if you want to go back to normal you will have to dye over it with a normal colour.
Hope this helped!
