Re: Any 40k Cosplayers?

| I don't need it to be particularly thick, it's mostly for the details on the HB and possibly the tanith knife. Speaking of which does anyone know what they look like (single or double edge, handle shape etc) and how I could make one? kraft foam is probably too thick but I can't think of anything else.
I've checked all the $2 shops in porirua, as well as spotlight, haven't checked warehouse stationary yet so I'll give that a go. I saw in another thread that Gordon Harris was really expensive, so I'd rather not go there if I can help it.
Also, I'm planning on "scratching" various quotes etc onto the heavy bolter and the ammo, so if you've got any good ideas let me know. So far I'm planning on putting "To the last man and the last round" on the bottom of the HB, where the ammo belt attaches, and I'll also put stuff like "Kill the traitor", "Burn the heretic", "Cast out the mutant" on the individual rounds, sort of like the HB wielder in Ultramarines. |

| | I've seen full sets of BDU's (shirt and pants) go for about 100 on trademe but if your in a budget then black cargo pants start at about 55 depending on he size. |

| | Hmm, I might be able to get the full set, I'll have to see how the HB goes first, it's proving more expensive than I anticipated. |

| | I'll planning to buy some heavy drill from spotlight, I doubt they'll have it in a camouflage pattern though, so I'll probably have to improvise. |

| | I just got a rain poncho from comrades in wellington, I think the guy said it was a ex Czech republic does the job but i'm going to sew it back a little bit to add a bit more freedom of movement only cost $25 so it's good if your in a pinch plus it won't take very long to modify if your short on time like me |

| | Thanks, I'll probably swing by comrades on monday to get one. I've just run into a problem with regards to the wig though, the one I'd planned to buy from Pete's emporium turned out to be too small for me (I have a massive head) Does anyone have any idea how I could modify it to make it larger, or where I could buy a bigger one? |

| My hair is very curly and a bit past shoulder length, the only pictures I've seen of Bragg show him with short, straight black hair.
I'm probably going to wear it on saturday, last I checked they still haven't posted when the cosplay stuff is happening though. |

| Bugger mate, don't worry, I've had a couple of setbacks myself, nothing as bad as yours but my costume won't be quite as I envisioned it either.
By the way, what modifications did you make to your poncho? I was thinking about dirtying mine up a bit, maybe adding some foliage as well. |

| | I was just going to smuge some dirt in to it to give it a more 'used look' other than that I haven't had time with with tech and work sneaking up on me |
