Easy way to put on Fake Lashes

Fake lashes aren't neccessary in cosplay but they do add that little extra on female characters.

So you'll need fake lashes & eyelash adhesive. Depending on what type of lashes you get it'll come with the adhesive already BUT most times the glue is never enough or isn't sticky enough. So buy a separate pack of adhesive, like this stuff

both can be bought from $2 shops (though I can't say the quality of the lashes are very good.)

Now heres the magical item

This is a eye lash applicator set (the set comes with lashes and glue but I'm not very fond of the style and the glue was useless.) you can get it at Bling for about $18, yea it's a little pricey for just a stand and clip but I've tried many times at using lashes and have never been able to do it. This clip makes it POSSIBLE.

First you grab a lash and place it onto the grooves of the stand (but make sure the lashes are the right length to your eyes, so snip it down if it's too long.

Now grab the clip thingy

it's basically a peg shaped for to an eye.

and clip it off the stand, the end should be hanging out abit off the clip

apply glue to end of eye lash

Make sure to wait 30-60 secs to allow the glue to get tacky. It's too wet it's slip off when you apply it.

and place as close as possible to above your own lashes and unclip, it should stay in place.

make sure not to go too close to inner part of your eye as it'll be uncomfortable when you blind. Adjust it accordingly if you missed lol

then grab a eyelash curler or mascara to fit your lashes into the fake ones.

and ta-da! Done. The webcam can actually see my eyelashes lol

Excellent tutorial Very Happy

I've never used those clips before, they certainly look handy. Another popular way (and one that I've used quite a lot) is to use tweezers and push the lash down bit by bit.

Is it necessary to have one of those clamps? They always look like a torture tool to me... D:

& yep, what Le_Saboteur said, Tweezers are also handy for application (I just have horrible hand co-ordination and fear the tweezers going into my eyeball orz)

@Rolly; Hahahahahha, why do people keep saying that about the curler? Maybe cause mine is old, the plastic ones look less scary. If you don't want to use it just mascara would be fine, I use the curler cause my lashes constantly droop lol

I need to get one of those clips, they seem a lot easier to use then tweesers are. Never thought of using an eyelash curler to make them blend with my natural lashes easier either, used tweesers for that too (I guess logic isn't my strong point).
