Carpool from Auckland?

So, I am driving to and from Welly. This is more or less certain (and absolutely certain if I can fill a seat, though I am considering not going if I would be by myself).

It is ~10 hour drive, and gas costs ~$100 a way. I know these things from experience. By myself, it would be cheaper to fly.

But with one passenger, it is $50 each a way. Or with two, $35. You get the idea.

So. If you'd rather spend time than money in your getting to WellyGeddon, post in this thread.
