Sweet revenge?

So I'm doing an english assignment on revenge, and need to find four novels
that have revenge as a dominant theme. They can be fiction or non fiction and preferably no longer than 1000 pages.

Unfortunately the books i was planning on doing are proving to be impossible to get a hold of.

So does anyone have any good suggestions?
All help greatly appreciated ^.^

Well, I read quite a few and was wondering if anyone else knew about them. C: I would also love to hear about any other webcomics you've seen.
My favourites are Kagerou, Salad Days [IT'S BEEN ON HIATUS FOREVER WHY] and Slightly Damned, although i've read quite a lot, unfortunately most of them have been dropped. :[ Like Vampirates, sob. [HASSANNNNNNNNN]

I love these comics. I used to sit in my school library all lunchtime and read them.
And they are seriously unknown these days. It makes me sad.

My dad used to have a lot of the books, but he got rid of them before I became interested. I now want to collect the whole 27 of them, if I can. I have numbers 1,2 and 5 at the moment. (If any of you have any of the others and are looking to sell... 8D)

Is anyone else a fan?

I'm half way through the first book and I must say it's badly written.

I don't mind stories being in first person but it's badly done

I must say though that the characters are more interesting and they seem to catch me more. Which is strange casue that didn't happen in the movies

Vampire Chronicals?

I just finished Queen of the Damned! Definitely page turners, I stayed up until 5:00am today and yesterday to finish the second and third books. They're just OMFG so good. So uh.... discuss? I still have a special place in my heart for Interview, as its bleak and almost philosophical on what eternity might actually be like. I did feel that the second half of Vampire Lestat disintegrated somewhat into nothing more than a fanciful story. Spoiler: I wasn't too keen on finding out ...

Yes they are based kinda on vampires but they've been around for longer than the weird sparkly kind >_<

I love most of the characters even though some of them are extremely similar to other characters from the series.

I plan to read all the books in a month lol

You know, I'm a pretty moderate person when it comes to reading. I mean, I might read vast quantites, but I don't read the substandard (or at least I try not to). Trashy romances? NOOOOO. Mortal Instruments and Cassandra Clare

I plowed my way through these books. The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare is about a girl called Clary who lives with her mother in New York.... until all hell breaks loose. The City of Bones is about her introduction to the hell breaking loose - a tad too expositional and one sugar honey iced tea-load SNOT of a twist. City of Ashes is about everything going to pot. So, as far as I know there aren't any topic about Tintin on here yet, though do correct me if I'm wrong. Who else is a fan of the Tintin comics? I found a whole bunch of them at the new office my dad moved into when I was a kid and absolutely loved them - the first comic I ever read bar newspaper comics. Anyone else heard about the Tintin movies that Peter Jackson is doing? What do you think about the fact that they're using CGI for Tintin and Captain Haddock, rather than real actors?

DC vs. Marvel

Wow. Just finished Pride and Predjudice and Zombies. It's fantastic. It has all the greatness of Austen, plus gorey zombie fight scenes... Elizabeth Bennet is kick-ass.

Has anyone else noticed that there are characters in various facets of fiction that are just geniuses for the sake of it, and that's their main point?
